Kathleen Kim is an NYC-based puppeteer, VO artist, and producer best known for her work on Sesame Street as Ji-Young, the first Asian American Muppet character in the show’s 50-plus-year history. The seven-year-old Korean American rock ’n’ roller was introduced in the Sesame Street AAPI special “See Us Coming Together,” for which Kim received an Emmy nomination as consulting producer.

Her other puppetry credits include SNL, Apple TV+’s Helpsters, and Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens as ToeKnee. You can also hear her as the protagonist, Teen, in the Annapurna video game To a T, as well as in several audiobooks. Kim performs stand-up and storytelling throughout NYC at venues including Joe’s Pub, UCB Theatre, Caveat NYC, and the Asian Comedy Fest.
